Some little things about Rarrentyme and what will be available, other things, and also info about species.
Most importantly, you will be able to influence how Rarrentyme changes and grows! Yes, you!
First off, I'm planning on having each account to be able to have up to 21 characters maximum. This way, if you wanted, you could have 3 characters per species (7 species total), or, if you're like me, will fill up all slots with 21 dragon characters.
There is a poll above, and I'd like to hear what you have to say about this. Mainly, I'd like to make it so it is possible to have less lag and problems with the server handling a million characters per account. Also, it encourages you to put thought and love into each character, for this game will have a lot of different challenges and other matters.
Here is some other information which you should comment on, give opinions, suggestions, etc.
Player fighting (a very strategic way of dealing with 'death' of players and respawning has been looked into)
Hunting
Many actions, and different actions depending on where you are (perhaps a point and click action for some specific objects)
Basic specie boundaries (Each species always has a specific trait, ability, etc. on top of your own customization)
Here is information on some of the stats that will most likely be present for each species:
GRIFFIN
The griffins of Rarrentyme have very strong beaks and talons which can seriously harm many types of creatures
They are 40% resistant to extreme heat and 80% resistant to cold
Amazing sense of hearing, and sight, terrible sense of smell
50% resistant to physical attacks because of thick plumage, lion part is 40%
HIPPOGRIFF
The hippogriffs of Rarrentyme have very strong beaks and talons which can seriously harm many types of creatures, hooves can deliver crushing kicks
They are 50% resistant to extreme heat and 70% resistant to cold
Amazing sense of hearing, and good smell, decent eyes
50% resistant to physical attacks because of thick plumage, horse part is muscular but has thinner skin/short fur so 35%
DRAGON
Fire breath can be used up to 10 times in a row and takes 5 in real life mins to regenerate all if used
The dragons of Rarrentyme can only breathe fire, but it is a very powerful weapon
They are 60% resistant to extreme heat and 30% resistant to cold
Good sense of smell, hearing, and sight
70% resistant to physical attacks because of scales
WYVERN
Poison always keeps regenerating, no wait time, kinda like venomous snakes or scorpions, also venom takes time and doesn’t always have as much total damage as fire of dragon
The wyverns of Rarrentyme have barbed tail spikes on the tips and it is extremely venomous
They are 50% resistant to extreme heat and 40% resistant to cold
Good sense of hearing, and sight, decent sense of smell
60% resistant to physical attacks because of scales
PEGASUS
The pegasi of Rarrentyme have extremely strong hooves and wings, which can actually deliver terrible blows (even wings) and knock out enemies
They are 40% resistant to extreme heat and 70% resistant to cold
Amazing sense of hearing, excellent smell, decent eyes
60% resistant to physical attacks because of tough bodies
UNICORN
Horn recharge (can shoot negative or positive energy up to 7 times in a row, 5 in real life mins to gain back all if all is used
The unicorns of Rarrentyme have horns which can shoot positive energy (healing and cleanliness which aids in healing) or negative energy (lose energy, sick feeling, health goes down little by little, hard to move easily)
They are 40% resistant to extreme heat and 70% resistant to cold
Amazing sense of hearing, excellent smell, decent eyes
60% resistant to physical attacks because of tough bodies, if they do positive magic even more at that time
PHOENIX
The phoenixes of Rarrentyme can set their feathers on fire for up to a minute, and wait one minute recharge time
They are 80% resistant to extreme heat because of fireproof feathers (unless in flame for longer than a minute or so given they burn off why they cannot do feather fire for more than 1 min) and 50% resistant to cold because of plumage and warmbloodedness
Amazing sense of hearing and sight, okay smell
50% resistant to physical attacks because of tough bodies and strong feathers
So yes, some species will be more susceptible from attacks from others, but each has their abilities and disabilities. Also, fighting and injury/death in fights will be hard to easily inflict, so don't worry. Those of you who wish to play a unicorn, you won't be able to be dive bombed by a wyvern and die right then and there.
Also, I'm planning on having a toggle for 'self defense'
Basically, you can set how you want to defend yourself, this way if typing or briefly away from the game and someone or something attacks you, your character automatically defends itself.
SELF DEFENSE TOGGLES WILL BE ALONG THE LINES OF:
Level 1 -- Biting, shoving other attacker away, moving away fast
Level 2 -- Standing ground more unless seriously hurt, more full on attacks
Level 3 -- Standing ground and attacking back
In all of these, your character will not follow the enemy, instead simply stand their ground or flee, depending on the level you have toggled. Also, attacks will not be as ferocious or necessarily well done given there is no brain behind them (you), more of an instinctual resistance. So no worries, those doing the attacking, they won't be overpowering.
